Wellness Achiever, Trish Sulezich

I always thought I was relatively healthy— I didn’t go to the doctor or take any medication and was rarely sick.
I’m a certified group exercise instructor and Directional Healing practitioner and was already doing many of the basics – good diet, exercise, and vitamins. I’ve taken supplements since I was a teenager— my family had awareness about vitamins. Two and a half years ago when I was 45, I began to experience changes in personal circumstances – a divorce and single parenting – which put on a lot of pressure. I was starting to feel bedraggled by life.
While undergoing this personal upheaval and its accompanying stresses, I started to notice little symptoms which I thought were part of the maturation process.
I began to have little aches and pains and stiffness. I also felt bloated and had food cravings, and well as occasional “fuzzy brain.” Then, I noticed funny things happening with my skin. Pillow line creases on my face in the mornings would take a long time to go away. And when I would press down on my skin, it would stay depressed! It began to take longer for my wounds to heal. Plus, my skin tone became dull and for the first time, my lips were always chapped.
I was always pretty active, yet mornings started to become a drag. Many mornings, I would much rather have slept in – I just didn’t really have the energy to get moving.
My cycles started to become irregular, both in terms of menses quality and timing. My body started to feel slow and heavy more of the time. I recognized that these were signals of some imbalance. If I didn’t give my body attention, I knew I would go into total burnout. I needed to take action to function at a higher level again. I could tell there would be consequences if I didn’t do anything about it.
For my New Year’s resolution last year, I committed to the principle “What I focus on, expands.” I started to focus my well-being on making life affirming choices.
On a sheet of paper, I drew a big heart which said inside, “I am forming good habits to stay fit and healthy. I am choosing to nourish myself with foods that build and energize. I am a great lover of all that life has to share!” Every day after my morning contemplation, I would read my heart.
Less than two months later, two professional friends—Ken and Lorraine Buell, who are Wellness Coaches—invited me to a Ziquin presentation.
As soon as I heard the Ziquin founders’ unique explanation of inflammation in the body, I thought to myself, “Wow, I’m definitely not as healthy as I thought I was!” Afterwards, I made a decision to take the time to educate myself about the stages of premature aging. And of course, with time it takes money – so I decided to put money towards re-building my inner biological terrain. Making a solid commitment to 120 days in the beginning helped me to follow through on my health investment.
I’ve been working in the field of holistic health, but I had never heard this kind of thorough explanation of disease before.
Now that I could see where I was in the stages of premature aging, I understood that my follow-through on implementing the Ziquin strategies would be important to reverse the premature aging of my body. Ken and Lorraine became my coaches, and I started to take the products. Right away, I knew I wanted to become a wellness coach. I had felt the nudge— it was the right path for me to pursue in terms of both my business and my health.
Within a week, things began happening and I thought, WOW, what is going on?
From the get go, my hair, skin and nails began to literally fall away. I was like an animal that was molting! The skin on my face began scaling and peeling, as if it had been sunburned. Then, I noticed dark spots on my hands and arms, like big freckles or liver spots, and my eyelashes started falling out! But I trusted the process, because I had heard about retracing.
I went in for a pedicure. All my toenails were like shavings, and they were literally being completely pared down to new nail. Then, I had some breakouts on my face. When that happened, the thought flashed through my mind: Wow – do I want to go through this?
But then, an amazing thing occurred.
One morning, I got up and saw a black scab on the bridge of my nose, where there was usually an old scar. (When I was a teenager, the chalk from a pool stick had grazed my nose.) I delicately picked at the scab, and out came fossilized chalk chips from that accident, almost 30 years ago! After that, there was a reddish, tender spot like new baby skin, but it didn’t hurt. After a few weeks, it went away and now the scar is permanently gone!
Fortunately, I had the support of my wellness coach and Jayme Hirashiki, National Director of Wellness. I knew that I just had to persist.
The Ziquin doctors’ weekly calls were really crucial for my learning and experiential process. I was on the calls regularly, taking lots of notes. I also read through the entire Ziquin educational magazine. When I was approved to be a wellness coach myself, I really understood the four phases of rejuvenation. Sometimes I get real tired, and I have to sleep in more. Other mornings, I have lots of energy and cannot stay in bed any longer. I also experienced these bursts of childlike joy the first month— like waves of emotional joy washing over me. I remembered what it was like to feel like a child again!
On the other hand, I am still undergoing retracing. There are some hot flashes, bodily sensations, and handfuls of hair that fall out in the shower! I know I keep regenerating — new growth is coming in, and my follicles and tissue are healthy again. When I went to the hairdresser’s, she even asked me what I used for my hair because she was so impressed by its resilient quality.
Last but not least, I want to share about my weight.
I thought I needed to lose weight – that had been one of my goals. Through the course of all my rejuvenation changes, I actually gained ten pounds but look leaner! What happened was that my body shape has changed. Now, I have much more lean muscle mass and I feel stronger—and people think that I have lost weight! So what I thought I needed, wasn’t what I actually needed. My body knew what was best for me. I just had to trust.
Not to pat myself on the back, but I feel I have more DAZZLE now!
I had a cowlick when I was a kid, and it’s returned! My skin tone and elasticity have definitely returned. My eyelashes came in thicker and longer. My lips have regained their natural color—I don’t even have to put lip color on. At my four-month mark, I received an unsolicited comment from a man who said I looked 17. Though that may have been an overstatement, I received other such comments, which affirmed my commitment to my rejuvenation.
Ziquin has helped me to shift my thinking into full responsibility. If I want to stay young, I have to manage my own health - take actions and learn to focus on good habits.
Overall, I have more available energy and feel great. Also, many wonderful changes have occurred in my recent life transition. I believe it’s a result of all the biodynamic changes I am experiencing. For starters, I am now engaged to a wonderful man who is also committed to rejuvenation! In my opinion, Ziquin’s strategies are the easiest and most effective. And it’s fantastic that with Ziquin, there’s an educational component in addition to the products. We are on ‘information-overload’ in this age. Ziquin provides a great health education and takes the guesswork out of how to most effectively restore our nutritional reserves.
